girls just wanna have fun

"when i was just a child in school,
i asked my teacher what should i try?
should i paint pictures? should i sing songs? this was her wise reply:
que sera sera -- whatever will be will be.
the future's not ours to see, que sera sera -- what will, will be."

what did i wanna become? i remember filling out borang kerjaya in standard three -- 1.policewoman 2.bus mini conductor 3.penyanyi. am pretty damn sure the teacher thought i was a moron coz everyone else wanted to be either a doctor or a lawyer... but hey, i stuck to my guns. those ambitions to me, were pure, and if nothing else, original.

and what did i end up becoming 22 years later? none of the above of course (seriously, can you imagine me as perempuan kaberet? don't aswer that). instead, i chose a different route. these days, am an official minah rempit...

here in bermuda, where the roads are winding and narrow, everyone rides the scooter. rich, poor, black, white, islander, visitor... they all bike. forget trying to channel the expertise of valentino rossi or carlos checa at every corner and turn, the popular mode of transportation here is mostly the 50cc scooter. cuba la melenjan selagi tak mahu, it can only go so fast.

lemme tell you, i was downright apprehensive about jumping into the back seat at first -- hell, who'd want to be in a position where you have no control over where you're going or when you're scrapping the tar roads?! but as soon as the engine's gunned and the perfect island breeze touched my face, i was sold. rambut penyet and bontot memang la sakit, terhenjut-henjut ke sana ke mari but man, was i having the time of my life. you know that feeling when you're riding your bicycle down the hill with no hands on the handlebars? going on a scooter is a hundred times better...

now i completely understand why those minah rempits around jalan tuanku abdul rahman always have that silly smile plastered on their faces everytime the mats take them for a spin. forget ambition -- a sense of adventure alone will get you places :)
*now... can we afford that vespa lx?

I know how it feels being on the bike...but not on motor kapcai but on one of the BIG motorbikes with a 'fren' not long before I got married...:-) Fun experience but scary siiutttttttttt, especially when the motor tu buat corner maut!! I bet your hubby cannot do corner maut...;-)Hahaha...

Wah...so minah and pakcik apek one...hang boleh jadik mat & minah rempit cina la in a land of mostly blacks (?)

But the view looks fabs!! So jealousnye considering it is wet and dreary here...at least the rain washed away the bad, bad haze away on the first/2nd day of raya.

We had a good raya here...look at the pictures :) But all ended up being sick with flu in the end...but my mission during raya is to collect as much duit raya for my children...since they have no savings...hahahaha!!

Love lots :)

Arnie on a bike? Man, that would be a sight indeed.

The place looks cool! But I suppose Raya was dreary lah kan? I had all of 2 days of Raya before I ended up in hospital beb... MEASLES!! All red spotted I was when I woke up Thursday morning, and off I went to the clinic.

But your Aunty Bibah would have none of that; she was worried if it was also mumps which would affect my ability to offer her the 14th grandchild!! So I was indeed admitted and ended up in hopsital until about 4 hours ago.

Worst, I lost 2 emcee jobs to measles; RM6k down the drain...

My tunang is the caring kind, and was doting over me until she started work yesterday. I promise you no hanky panky materialised.... LOL!

Anyways, thanks for the update on how to contact you; will call you up one of these days. What's the time difference between KL and heaven ha?

Take care and salam to Farid.
